MatheZeit is designed for third and fourth grade classes. It can be used via the MatheZeit app, itslearning or the MatheZeit web platform.
You can start at any time. Once you have access, you can use the MatheZeiten already published in our collection and receive a new MatheZeit every week – in the app, via itslearning or in the web platform.
Ideally each pupil has a digital device so they can work individually. The MatheZeit app runs on iPads and Android tablets. Alternatively, the MatheZeiten can be used in a browser on laptops or computers.
MatheZeit is available on three platforms: the MatheZeit app, itslearning and the web platform. Pupils sign in with a five-digit code and teachers receive individual analytics per class and child.
The MatheZeit app is our native application for iPad and Android tablets. It offers all MatheZeiten, the Knobelbox with adaptive tasks and a teacher dashboard with analytics – all in one app. The app is currently in beta.
There are three ways to use the MatheZeiten: in the MatheZeit app, via itslearning or in the MatheZeit web platform. Pupils sign in with a five-digit code and teachers receive individual analytics on every platform. The app additionally offers the Knobelbox and an integrated teacher dashboard. itslearning is a good fit if your school is already connected to the itslearning network. The web platform is reachable directly in the browser.
The Knobelbox is an adaptive practice system in the MatheZeit app. Pupils solve a wide variety of tasks from different areas of mathematics – from arithmetic to money and time, number lines, estimation and matching. The difficulty automatically adjusts to each pupil’s level. Teachers can configure task types and difficulty per class through the dashboard and follow progress.
Pupils sign in with a five-digit code that the teacher generates through the dashboard. No email addresses or personal data of the children are required.
Each school week, one MatheZeit appears for grade 3 and one for grade 4. Both cover the same topic, so the teaching notes are identical. However, the MatheZeiten differ, for example in the number range used, the complexity of the language or the depth of the tasks.
